Katarina Livljanić has been invited to the Early Music Summit organized by REMA from 20th to 22nd November 2020 in Bozar, Brussels, which will be also broadcasting online. She will introduce the panel of Friday 20th November « What does Europe do for early music ? » at 11.15 am. This session aims at exploring on the one hand what concrete laws and programmes are fostering European exchange and travels, and on the other hand what opportunities Europe can bring to the Early Music sector.

She will also participate in the Early Music Summit on Saturday 21 November. Based on her experience as co-director of the Master programme in Medieval Music Performance at the Sorbonne for 20 years and her current position as voice teacher in the Medieval and Renaissance department at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, she will take part in the discussion group on the future of early music departments. This second session offers an opportunity to work in small groups on themes such as: What has historically informed practice brought to the Conservatoire paradigm? What is Early Music's relationship with elitism and excellence and what do we hope to achieve for future generations of students?
